Literacy in the Library is a weekly reading workshop for parents in the school library. Each session begins with a read aloud of a book that parents are given to help build their child’s home library. Today, Unstoppable Me, by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, was read to parents and children. The book imparts 10 life lessons in easy to understand terms that are explained from a child’s point of view on the accompanying page. Dr. Dyer maintains that in order to soar through life and achieve goals one must be a leader, be persistent, creative, healthy and give back to the community. Parents and children listened to the read aloud and participated in a short discussion. Remember to stop by the library for literacy, learning and fun on Tuesdays!
