This awesome free tool from Microsoft is making video creation easy and fluid. Video Editor Edu replaces Microsoft’s Movie Maker. For those of you that struggle with tech or are unsteady in clipping and making videos, this can now be your go to. Teachers often look for low cost tech and this is my favorite four letter word, free. Follow them on Twitter for tips, techniques or if you have questions. Otherwise click on the links below and play around to get the gist of it.

- Not only can you trim video clips, you can also Split Video Clips now alongside, and Speed Up & Slow Down clips for creativity and fun or to create a time-lapse effect for your project
- Use Landscape Cards in the Storyboard for ease of use, you now see Thumbnails showing edits you’ve made to your Storyboard, and you can Rotate Video in case your video isn’t oriented the way you might like
- To more easily add photos to your project, use Add From Web which searches Bing with added the Creative Commons licensing as a caption to engage in discussions with students about digital citizenship
- Back up and share projects, use Project Backup to save the video project, share it and easily move it between devices as needed. Create project templates so students don’t need to start from scratch.
- See a variety of smaller changes, like Improved Navigation and Additional Text Styles
